24th Film Festival

Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University

Dear fans of film and student films, the Faculty of Informatics MU Film Festival has been bringing together students, lecturers and all those who want to create for over twenty years and giving them the opportunity to realize themselves through the language of film. The theme of the 24th edition was "Memory." Throughout its history, our festival has chronicled hundreds of film memories. Each film is like a foreign dream or memory that we borrow for a while, and then in its echoes we unexpectedly find our own story. Students participate in the preparation of the festival in several groups - they develop their soft skills in the organization and PR, creativity in the creation of videos, visuals and web and also their technical skills.

About the festival

The Film Festival of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University is the result of the efforts of MU students who, during two semesters in the courses PV110 Fundamentals of Film Speech and PV113 Production of Audiovisual Works, undergo complete training in practical film production, often without previous experience. In small teams and individually, they go through the entire process of preparing a short film from themes through literary and technical scripts, production, editing, post-production, and master the work of writers, directors, cinematographers, sound engineers, producers, editors, actors and others.
