21st Film Festival

Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University

The theme of the 21st edition was CONNECTIONS. For more than twenty years, the festival has been bringing together students, lecturers and all those who want to create and giving them the opportunity to realise themselves through the language of film. Art, film, imagination and creation combine the often incompatible and connect us across worlds, genres and themes. No matter how many wires need to be plugged in to make a film. Audiences joined the festival conveniently from their homes - the festival took place online on May 28, 2021.

About festival

The Film Festival of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University is the result of the efforts of MU students who, during two semesters in the courses PV110 Fundamentals of Film Speech and PV113 Production of Audiovisual Works, undergo complete training in practical film production, often without previous experience. In small teams and individually, they go through the entire process of preparing a short film from themes through literary and technical scripts, production, editing, post-production, and master the work of writers, directors, cinematographers, sound engineers, producers, editors, actors and others.
