15th Film Festival

You will see the result of MU students' efforts to express themselves in the language of cinema, where ten professions, practically everything from the subject to production, are done by small teams of students on their own, under the mentorship of teachers. This year, teams of students from several MU faculties and also acting students from JAMU have been involved in the preparation.We hope that everyone will choose at least one film from the menu to nominate for an award in the audience poll, which will be announced at the end of the festival. Representatives of the sponsors and the expert jury will present the sponsors' prizes.

About festival
The Film Festival of the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University is the result of the efforts of MU students who, during two semesters in the courses PV110 Fundamentals of Film Speech and PV113 Production of Audiovisual Works, undergo complete training in practical film production, often without previous experience. In small teams and individually, they go through the entire process of preparing a short film from themes through literary and technical scripts, production, editing, post-production, and master the work of writers, directors, cinematographers, sound engineers, producers, editors, actors and others.

Finished films of various genres and technical approaches are publicly screened at the May festival at FI MU and since the 16th year also at the University Cinema Scala in front of almost 1000 spectators. The best films are awarded by an expert jury and audience voting in the halls. The winners will receive cash prizes, material prizes from sponsors and a travelling trophy - the Filmobol statuette.
